Burns Suppers have been part of Scottish culture for over 200 years as a means of commemorating our best loved Bard. When Burns immortalised haggis in verse, he created a central link that is maintained to this day.
The ritual was started by close friends of Burns a few years after his death, in 1796, as a tribute to his memory. The basic format for the evening has remained unchanged since that time and begins when the chairman invites the company to receive the haggis.
"We would like to invite you to the first Burns Supper in No.19. Featuring a Scottish piper and all of the traditions of the occasion and a special Burns menu".
Combine your Burns Supper at Close house with a stay in one of their new Courtyard rooms with one of our beautiful north east escorts and take advantage of the incredible January Courtyard room offers. The Courtyard rooms are decorated and furnished to the highest standard, which will make you feel right at home with one of our stunning high class escorts as your companion for the evening.
